Summary of JAEA-DDB System

1. Kind of Data stored in DDB
Following data are stored in JAEA-DDB.
 (1) Diffusion coefficient in domestic rocks and its related data.
 (2) Diffusion coefficient in domestic bentonite and its related data.
 (3) Diffusion coefficient in foreign bentonite and its related data.

2. Solid phase
Following solid phases are presently included in the JAEA-DDB
 (1) Domestic Rocks
    • Crystalline rock (Acidic or Basic rock)
    • Sedimentary rock (Sandy, Muddy and Tuffaceous rocks)
    • etc.

 (2) Domestic Bentonite
    • Kunigel-V1
    • Kunipia-F
    • etc.
      - purified smectite
      - silica sand mixed sample etc.

 (3) Foreign Bentonite
    • MX-80
    • Avonlea
    • etc.

3. Elements
31 elements are presently included in the JAEA-DDB
    • Am, Cm, Cs, Nb, Ni, Np, Pb, Pd, Pu, Ra, Se, Sm, Sn, Tc, Th, U, Zr
       (Major elements for safety assessment.)
    • Ba, Be, C, Ca, Cl, Co, Fe, H2O, I, K, Mg, Na, OH-, Sr
       (Other elements)

4. Database Contents
JAEA-DDB system contains about 60 properties (data and related information) per 1 record (data).
JAEA-DDB system contains about 2,000 data of diffusion coefficient.

5. Database Systems
In the JAEA-DDB system, there exists two types of systems ;
    •  JAEA-DDB Web version
=>enables you to use directly the database through the web browser.

    • JAEA-DDB Access 2002 version
=>enables you to download and use the database with the Microsoft Access 2002 in Windows computers.
